MADRID - Legis Chief Innovation Officer Lorna Seitz will attend the International Open Data Conference (IODC 16) in Madrid on October 6-7.  Seitz, a legislative/parliamentary expert, institutional reformer, and legislative drafter, is currently spearheading the Legis Institute’s efforts to develop a platform for digital democracy. The Legis platform will facilitate collaborative policy development, legislation assessment, and legislation drafting.

Seitz's contributions at IODC will focus on new research on designing legislation that works, computational law development, machine learning for parliaments, institutional performance monitoring, analyzing disparate legislation and policy impacts, and evidence-based policy-making.
